Russian Investigative Committee Rejects President’s Human Rights Council Report in its Investigation of Tax Officials Exposed by Sergei Magnitsky

The Russ­ian Inves­tiga­tive Com­mit­tee has reject­ed the Russ­ian Pres­i­den­t’s Human Rights Council’s report on the cor­rup­tion uncov­ered by Sergei Mag­nit­sky in their inves­ti­ga­tion into the ille­gal tax refunds approved by the Moscow tax inspec­tion No 28, which led to the theft of $230 mil­lion from the Russ­ian gov­ern­ment. Следственный комитет России отказался приобщить заключение Совета по правам человека о коррупции по делу Сергея Магнитского к материалам уголовного дела о хищениях из казны через московскую налоговую инспекцию №28 г.
Следственный комитет также отказал в признании родственников Магнитского потерпевшими, несмотря на то, что в заявлении их представителя указывалось, что соучастники расследуемого по уголовному делу хищения были причастны к преследованию и гибели разоблачившего их Магнитского. Read more
